HOW WE'RE RESPONDING TO CORONA-VIRUS (COVID-19)

Dear Artistica - Deruta of Italy friends and customers,

We know everyone is concerned about the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak and the impacts the virus may have on our daily lives. We take the health and safety of our customers and staff very seriously.
As such, we are taking precautions to do our part in mitigating the spread of COVID-19; here are the things we want you to know.

Artistica - Deruta of Italy is open for business, and we are confident that our facilities and practices are safe.
We are following the Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for businesses.
Our office staff are in separate rooms, and our warehouse staff is working in separated tables.
We are being extra vigilant with maintaining a sanitary environment in our facilities and ensuring our staff have what they need to stay healthy.
In addition to sanitizing surfaces regularly throughout the day and encouraging good handwashing practices, we have provided our warehouse staff with gloves to wear while picking and packing orders as an extra level of protection.
We have been informed that virus transmission throughout our products is practically impossible but to use even extra caution we now wipe clean any items we ship with virus disinfectant spray.

We are not expecting interruptions to our business and we do not anticipate any interruptions in our supply chain.
As of today, all our Italian suppliers are working in full force with not a single positive coronavirus case in any of our factories. Note that most of our factories are located in the central and south part of Italy much less affected by the virus than the northern area.
The only disruption we experienced affected the weekly delivery of our Air Freight import shipments that due to the recent stoppage of inbound flights from Italy. Last week we had to reroute our freights and that caused several days delay, but air freight shipments should return to their regular schedule soon.

At the time of this email, we are shipping orders from our Glenview, IL warehouse without interruption.
Should this change, we will send updates via email and posts on our website and social media.
We are communicating with our suppliers on daily basis and we will pass along information about any potential delays or shortages to you immediately.

We appreciate your understanding as this situation evolves. We must all do our part to keep ourselves, our families, and our communities healthy, and we sincerely hope everyone is able to resume their normal lives soon.

UPDATE April 1, 2020
The whole Covid-19 situation is not getting any better… Actually, our Illinois Governor followed the federal decision to extend the shelter-at-home order to April 30, 2020.

As result, our showroom will remain closed until that date although our warehouse and shipping operations will continue on the reduced MON-WED-FRI schedule to fulfill web orders.

To promote our business as well as to support our Italian artisans we are running weekly promotions including a 25% Site Wide discount (Coupon Code: HELP 25) that hopefully will enable us to place a large order to our Italian vendors once they will reopen, hopefully sometime mid-April…

UPDATE MAY 4th, 2020
First off, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
It is a very unusual time in the world and we sincerely hope that you are faring well.
Since it has been several weeks since we last wrote, we thought we would provide some updates on our business.

Today is a truly a great day! All our Italian suppliers reopened their factories and workshop and returned to work marking what undoubtedly can be called a "New Beginning"!

We want thank all of those customers that in the past five quarantined weeks have graciously placed orders on our web sites taking advantage of our discounted promotions. We also want to thank our Brands Marketplace suppliers such as Vietri, Arte Italica, Juliska and others that contributed significantly with their unique discounted promotions. Their direct drop-shipping has also helped us a lot considering our reduced company staff.

In the past days we have been coordinating with all of our Italian suppliers, we reassured them of our support placing larger than usual orders and in response, every one of them guaranteed a fast production turnaround scheduling double shifts when necessary.

As results in the second part of the current month of May we will be receiving a large amount of goods to replenish our depleted inventory as well as new products for our Spring/Summer seasons as we are positive that - Everything will be okay in the end! -

Obviously, we are not out of the woods yet, in fact, some of our Artistica and other brands promotions have been extended:

UPDATE JUNE 1st, 2020

Our operations have now finally resumed 100%! :)
We are shipping daily, goods from Italy are coming in on schedule and although we are still out of stock of just a few products, by June 15 our inventory will be fully restocked.

We are of course once again ready to offer the full line of our beautiful products along with our outstanding customer service!

A special thank you goes to the many customers that have graciously kept us very busy placing orders during the past stay-at-home couple of months and is with pleasure to let you know that, a thank you note along with a gift is on the mail to all of you, as a small token of our appreciation for your support during this challenging times.

As we are reminded daily, although under control, COVID-19 is still out there and we are not completely out of the woods, therefore please be careful and be well!
